Do you use a Windows Phone? If yes, then you must be aware of the Shut Down/Switch off style of Windows Phone. Press the Power button and you will see a half screen. You just have to slide down that screen to Switch off your phone. This style of shut down or switch off is not limited to Windows Phone. This way of Shut Down can be used in Windows 10 laptop. You can easily Shut Down your Windows 10 Laptop by a Slide with the mouse. No need to click on windows button, then again click on power button and then choose Shut Down. Just Double Click the shortcut, Slide Down the screen and your Laptop will shut down easily. The image below shows the Normal Shut down.

Slide Down to Shut Down is a feature in Windows 10. Just follow the steps mentioned below and you will easily understand the process to Shut Down your Windows laptop with a slide.
- On the Desktop(Main Screen), Right Click and create a Shortcut. See Image Below.
- Now a popup Window will ask you “What Item would you like to create Shortcut for.”

\System32\SlideToShutDown.exe and click on Next 
- Give a name to the shortcut in 4th Like in our case we give it Slide To Shut Down and click ok.
- A shortcut will appear on the screen.
- Now whenever you want to shut down your PC/Laptop just double click on it. It will show you your Screen lock Picture. Just Slide it with mouse and your Laptop/PC will shut Down Automatically.
This Trick only works on Windows 10. You can rename the Shortcut with any name of your choice. Just keep one thing in mind. This is direct Shutdown Method of Windows.
