Depending on what devices you use, you can choose any of the above-mentioned methods. For the sake of this post, I will share the steps involved in syncing up your data on the cloud (which, in my opinion, is the best choice)
How to Transfer the Images to iCloud Photos
Here are the easy-to-follow steps to transfer the images from your iPhone to iCloud Photos:
1) Install the iCloud Photos software on all the Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, your Mac, and Apple TV) you wish to access your photos from.
2) Sign-in with the same credentials on all your Apple devices.
3) Turn on the iCloud Photos feature by going to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos on your iPhone. Plus, the process of turning on iCloud on other devices is almost the same as that for the iPhone.
4) Now since all your photos are synced on all your Apple devices, you can delete them from anywhere you want. But remember that when you delete an image from the device, it gets deleted from all the devices (since you are using single cloud storage).
5) Lastly, it is important to check how much storage you have got on your iPhone, so you can decide if you need to transfer some more content to iCloud. You can achieve this by heading to Settings > General > [Device] Storage.
How to Delete Photos From iPhone
Here is how you can delete a single photo from your iPhone:
1) Tap open the Photos app on your iPhone.
2) Select the image that you wish to delete
3) Tap the bin icon located at the bottom right of your phone screen.
Here is how you can delete multiple photos from your iPhone:
1) Tap open the Photos app on your iPhone.
2) Select multiple images that you wish to delete.
3) Tap the bin icon located at the bottom right of your phone screen. It will transfer all the selected images to the recycle bin where the content will be stored for the next 30 days.
What If I Accidentally Delete an Image? How Do I Get It Back?
There is nothing to worry about if you accidentally delete an image. The only caveat is, you must realize it within 30 days of deleting it.
Here is how you can restore the deleted photos from the recycle bin:
1) Tap open the Photos app and go to the Albums tab.
2) Open the Recently Deleted album and tap Select
3) Select the photo/photos that you wish to get back.
4) Tap Recover and allow it to transfer the images from the recycle bin to your Photos app by selecting “confirm”.
