Therefore, as the first line of solution, you should check and verify the YouTube URL to see if you have entered the incorrect URL. However, if the YouTube URL is correct, explore other options below to fix the error.

Clear the Cookies and Cache of Your Browsing History

If your browser attempts to use an element that has been previously cached, it is possible for you to get the YouTube 400 error. In this case, all you have to do is to clear the cookies and cache of your browser and then restart your device to enjoy YouTube once again.

If you are accessing YouTube with Google Chrome, you can simply clear the cookies and cache by:

  • Go to “Settings”

  • Now click on “Clear browsing data” and select “Clear Data”

Refresh the Page Several Times

Nonetheless, this method cannot solve most cases of YouTube error 400.

Update Your Browser and/or Flash Player

Due to the need to ensure compatibility with the devices of various users, YouTube often requests for regular updates of the browsers of the users. Therefore, you may encounter YouTube error 400 if your browser, as well as a flash player, is outdated. To solve the error, just update your browser and flash player.


After trying the methods described above, the YouTube error 400 should be fixed now. If the problem persists, shut down your router, open it again and try the YouTube URL again. It should, however, be noted that the YouTube server may have a bug sometimes and this can also be fixed by YouTube itself. Therefore, you should wait a little longer and try again.
