Not everyone can press Alt+Ctrl+Del keys all at the same time. This may be due to some physical impairment the Windows 10 user might be having or some other keyboard-related issue.

In case you are using someone else’s computer who prefers to keep the Sticky Keys feature enabled, you might want to learn how to disable it for the time being. Besides, sometimes this feature also enables any mistakes.

In this post, you are going to learn how to turn off sticky keys in windows 10 permanently. To attain this goal, you don’t need to be a Windows 10 expert or a computer technician. I have shared some easy-to-understand and crisp ways to disable sticky keys in your Windows 10 PC.

How to Turn off Sticky Keys Windows 10 Permanently

Method 1: Disable sticky keys via Windows Settings

Step 1:

The first step to disabling sticky keys via settings is to locate it either by typing the keyword “settings” in the windows search bar or by pressing the Windows key (as you can see from the picture above).

Step 2:

Next, locate the option “Ease of Access” and click on it. You will be directed to a new page with several kinds of user-interaction-related settings. Scroll down and locate Keyboard. Refer to the image below for assistance.

Step 3 :

On the right side of the same window, you will see a label “Sticky Keys” with a radio button in a turned-on state (assuming the sticky keys feature in your PC is already enabled). Simply turn it off. You don’t have to do anything else.

Method 2: Press Any Two Keys at the Same Time

Want something simpler? To turn off sticky keys feature in Windows 10, you can also press any two keys (Ctrl, Alt, Shift or Windows Logo Key) simultaneously. A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm your decision. Simple select yes and the sticky keys feature will get disabled. Make sure you perform this while important third-party applications are closed.

One downside to this method is, unlike the first method, you don’t get a visual confirmation of this feature being disabled. This is why the first method is always effective and reliable.

Method 3: Via the Taskbar

The third and final method to turn off the sticky keys feature in Windows is by simply clicking in the sticky key icon on the taskbar and deselecting the checkbox with “Turn On Sticky Keys” label. If you cannot find the sticky key icon on the taskbar, simply click on the upward arrow at the bottom right corner of your screen. The above image can help you identify the sticky keys icon.
